    We now set the loading=lazy attribute on many images to improve the load and rendering performance of our scrollable pages, especially when network connection isn’t the best.

    You can now choose to apply a Code of Conduct later in the event options to ease the Create event workflow while improving the Code of Conduct representation as well.

    Improved line-height for Server Error and Maintenance mode headlines to be better readable.

    We made the header and title of the “Create your event“ page more clear and simple.
  • Fixed
    We fixed the handling of invalid URLs in the “Import event” workflow and now validate correctly and show useful errors instead of an service exception.

  • Improved
    We updated the homepage a bit and made the text easier to read, swapped the background image and added clearer sections.
  • Fixed
    We fixed the article list view on our blog which looked broken if you had a specific category selected.
  • Fixed
    We fixed a service error that occurred when someone called an invalid event date URL. This now returns a “404 Not Found” error.
  • Fixed
    We fixed a confusing UI issue for organizers who saw the “Publish event” button on events that are not yet approved and then ended up on a “404 Not found” page. The in this case useless button is now gone.

    Fixed multiple exceptions inside the event coverage that could be triggered by invalid (or not found) links.

    We implemented a Cronjob to delete (spam) newsletter subscribers that don’t confirm the subscription within two days.

    We’re introducing Topics, a new way for you to find events and content of interest.
  • Improved
    The account sidebar navigation items now have clearer labels.
  • Improved
    If you don’t have an active subscription, you can go directly to the upgrade page from the account sidebar instead of seeing an empty subscriptions overview page (but we improved the look of this one, too).
  • Improved
    In your account settings, you will now only see the privacy options about the supporter page appearance if you have an active subscription (and thus, are affected).
  • Improved
    We introduced URL history for AJAX actions before, now we made it optional so user actions that shouldn’t alter the URL don’t do it anymore.

    If an event is organized by only one person, we use the singular of oranizers and show the profile card centered on the event page.

    If your public profile is missing details, we now show you a notice to make it more useful on the homepage.
  • New
    We now allow you to import your existing event website into Colloq. Right now this will parse your HTML to find some details and prefill them for you. In the future this will be extended by more advanced import mechanisms.
  • Improved
    We now show the “create event/suggestion” navigation to logged out visitors as well and improved the path to the signup on the login page.

    Event teams can now have a custom sort order, manageable through the event team pages.
  • Improved
    We finally added our team photo to the About page so you can see the entire team in one place.

    We fixed another regression that caused cities to not be ordered by population in city search and autocompletion.

    Team members of conferences can now opt out of being shown on the team page.
  • Fixed
    We fixed an issue where the new cities functionality prevented some cities to show up in the city/location autocomplete fields.

    We’ve updated the copy on the About page and renamed the download to better reflect its content.
  • Improved
    We added the calendar subscription feature to Premium plan on our pricing page.
  • Fixed
    In our last fix to correctly escape text, some of our explanations including HTML had been missed and eventually received the correct treatment.

    When creating new events, admin users are no longer added as owners of the event, which they might not actually be after all.
  • Improved
    In our codebase the spelling of "organizing" has been jumping between British and American english, and for consistency we’ve changed it to "organizing", which has been previously used.

    The "Organizing" section on public user profiles now correctly displays a user’s organized events again.

    We fixed an issue where organisers couldn’t add new members to event teams.

    Added a maintenance mode to perform migrations more easily. This will improve the reliability even in the case of larger updates.

    Event news articles now have the author stored and shown in order to attribute them properly.

    We added acceptance and regression tests to our internal Metrics endpoint to ensure its output is working correctly and we can monitor our platform data and server status properly.
  • Fixed
    We fixed an issue where users who weren’t signed in got an error on our newsletter page.
