Do you cringe when you have to design and build layouts on the web? Do you get frustrated when things never go where you want them to on your page? Creating custom layouts is not a trivial task, no matter what your sales rep or account manager says. Fortunately, browsers now support a plethora of CSS properties that make building creative layouts much less painful than before.
During the Workshop
This workshop covers what CSS grid is, why it is so revolutionary and how it can be used to build tried and tested layouts with much less code, as well as more radical less-commonly seen layouts with minimal effort. We will address some commonly raised questions with regards to CSS grid and Flexbox, and how layout properties can be used in combination to create designs that work well across different screen sizes and devices with different browsers. This will be a hands-on workshop where we work through various code examples as well as build a few real-world use cases that you can take away and continue to experiment with, or even apply to your own projects as well.
